What are the aims of Aarhus School of Engineering?

The overall aim of Aarhus School of Engineering is to strengthen the engineering degree programs and the technical science areas for the benefit of the Danish business sector and society in general. Aarhus School of Engineering shall ensure 

•   a comprehensive offer of engineering degree programs in Western Denmark
•   technical scientific research and development at an international level
•   more and better graduate engineers for the Danish community
•   greater societal familiarity with the engineering degree programmes

In continuation of this, the aims are to ensure:
 
Top-quality degree programs
Aarhus School of Engineering offers high-quality engineering degree programs based on technical science as well as research and development.
 
Joint research and development environment

Aarhus School of Engineering plays a key role in setting up a joint research and development environment with a view to developing an internationally competitive engineering platform in Aarhus.
 
Strengthening research
Aarhus School of Engineering shall be a platform for establishing collaborative relations with strong engineering science centres in Denmark and abroad to boost those elements in the degree programs that are based on research and development.
 
Focus on application
Aarhus School of Engineering is a scientific and technical engineering platform for strengthened collaboration with both private and public companies and institutions with a view to ensuring and building up the business-oriented qualities of the engineering degree programs.
