Structure of studies

The B.Eng. in Architectural Engineering combines traditional civil and structural engineering knowledge with architectural knowledge and qualifications to enable the student to work as an engineer with a specific focus on the design phase of construction. The basis of the education is that app. 85% of the topics comes from civil and structural engineering studies and the remaining 15% comes from architectural studies.

The study is composed of a general part, engineering training and a specialization part:
The general part offers compulsory courses and one semesterproject each semester. For students with no practical experience a 4-week workshop course is an integral part. The engineering training in the 6th semester is undertaken as on-the job-training in an engineering company. The specialization part (last year of study) is formed as a series of elected courses and a bachelor project (thesis work).
