Summer School CDDIP 2008

Conceptual Design and Development of Innovative Products (CD-DIP) Summer School 2008

A brand new Erasmus Intensive Programme (IP) has been approved. It will be held in the Summer of 2008 (30th of June till the 18th of July, 2008) in Denmark. Its focus will be on conceptual design and the development of innovative products.

Why this focus?

In an increasingly globalised world it is paramount for the competitiveness of the European industry that the employees are capable of coming up with new innovative ways to define concepts for new designs and for the subsequent production process for new products faster than today. In addition there is a tendency that the complexity of products is increasing continuously. In order to master the complexity and at the same time produce these faster it is essential that employees with different disciplinary and cultural backgrounds are able to collaborate efficiently in short windows of opportunities.

Objectives

The objectives of this project is to facilitate better interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary collaboration for BSc and MSc students with different technical backgrounds. PhD students who also have skills to combine their theoretical skills with practical usage will also be able to attend

Get involved

This IP project is organized and coordinated by the Engineering College of Aarhus and co-organized by several participating institutions in Europe.

Are you studying at one of these institutions? Are you eager to get better? Do you appreciate international contexts and multidisciplinary approaches...? Then go, find the contact person at your institute!

Best of all

Almost all your expenses (housing, food, even most of your travel costs) will be covered by the project and the industry involved (Bang & Olufsen)!

On top of this: location for the IP is the beautiful city Struer, Denmark.
