Description:
The opportunity to quickly estimate value and efficiency of solar walls seemed to lack in the design offices in general. We focused on two aspect of this problem. A general technology description and a thorough design phase for the system preheating of ventilation air.
General theory of solar radiation and thermal processes has been used in development of the thesis. We have tried to describe opportunities on the subject solar air systems in a readable guide. Next to the guide we have developed a small program that will support the reader in the very early design stage. In the matter of the design for preheating of ventilation air we have developed a program from which the user can design a solar air collector and estimate the value and efficiency. This program is supported by a theoretical guide that sums up the relevant theory used and explains the use of the program.
The thesis simplifies some of the most important aspects of solar air systems and evaluates the usefulness of a solar wall used as preheating of ventilation air. This is supported by a design guides that explains the use and theory of the developed design tool.
