How to apply for students from ASE partner institutions (Bilateral exchange)

 

How to apply 

 

Thank you for your interest in Aarhus University. In order to be admitted to the University, you must fill in our online application form. Our application deadline for the Autumn semester 2012 is May 1st.
 
Due to the high number of incoming applicants, we kindly ask that the application deadline is respected since we cannot guarantee that applications submitted after May 1st will be processed.
 
Concerning applications for the Spring semester 2013, our application deadline for the Spring semester is November 1st (it will be open from mid September).
 
The online process is outlined as follows:
  1. Sign up for an account on our Self Service website (www.au.dk/selfservice) by clicking “new user”.
  2. Log in and create a new application by clicking “Application form for exchange students”.
  3. It is important that you start filling in the application within 24 hours after creating your self service account. It is not necessary to complete the entire application at once. You can save what you have entered and exit the application form as required.
  4. Fill in the application. Please read all the detailed instructions here carefully before starting the application process: . http://www.au.dk/en/exchange/admissiontoau/
  5. Please note that the application for housing is included in the online application form and you must NOT fill in any other housing application forms.
  6. During the application process you are able to edit, exit and re-enter the application at any time. Make sure to submit the complete application before May 1st 2012.
  7. Be aware that you need to upload your Transcript of Records in .pdf format.
  8. As part of the application, you will be required to fill in the contact information for your coordinator at your home university. This information will be used to send an e-mail to the coordinator requesting confirmation that you have been nominated by your home university.
  9. Once the application is complete and the coordinator has confirmed the nomination, you can submit the application.
  10. You can follow the status of your application on the self service website by logging in using the same username and password as when you created your application.
  11. Once you have been accepted, the International Centre will send you a Welcome e-mail including important information and further instructions.

When filling in the application please make sure that you choose the right campus. There are four different campuses at Aarhus University and it is not possible to take courses at more than one campus.
