Description:
Media and Cultural Centre of Thy is located in Hurup, about 12 kilometres from the West Coast. The winning project was selected in 2006, but it is not yet constructed. The Media and cultural Centre is intended for many different kinds of activities, such as concerts, exhibitions etc. The many different features within the building create a need for structural diversity.
The building consists of two main structures. One is a big steel lattice design, surrounding the foyer and covered with glass. The other one is the concert hall, which we decided to add a stage tower too, which is being used for stage craft etc.
In this project we have been working with the steel lattice design, scene tower and the main stability of the structure. In addition, we have worked with the architecture, and tried to make the best solutions to meet the architect’s wishes.
