Pervasive Computing and Electronic Lab

The laboratory focuses on software and hardware technologies for development of consumer electronics and industrial embedded and distributed real-time systems. A series of development projects are undertaken within the area of embedded audio and video, wireless and wired communication technologies and protocols, SW-application frameworks in addition to RFID-technology and positioning systems.
Pervasive Computing is a fairly new term which means “IT in everything”. This encompasses embedded and distributed systems. The systems often communicate in networks via cable or wireless communication.
The lab has been established to strengthen the Engineering College's activities within the development of systems with embedded IT. Examples of these systems are consumer electronics and industrial devices and systems.
