Requirements to own laptop

 

You must have a laptop for educational purposes from August 2009

 

It is mandatrory that all students enrolled at IHA bring a laptop.
  
All modern laptops can be used on IHA.
 
If you are about to buy a new laptop, we recommend the following:  
  • Buy a recognized brand
  • The amount of RAM should be 4GB - or more
  • Make sure that the wireless network card supports the N standard, but preferably also the A (5 GHz) standard.
  • Windows 7 (English version is required if you wish to be able to get support from our helpdesk)

And remember:

  • Sufficient battery capacity because it is not possible to establish sufficient power supply in all classrooms.

 

If you buy a MAC, be aware that none of our applikations are supported on Mac OS. You must install Windows instead of or beside Mac OS to use them.
