Root certificate
Some services on IHA requires encryption to protect personal information as passwords and webtraffic. Because all webservers use certificates that are signed by certificate authorities that has their root certificates installed in all major browsers. This means that no warning popup will show when you visit the sites.
Some services however require that you trust the specific certificate used. This is the case for some wireless authentication clients, often on mobile devises. I this is the case you will have to install the root certificate used to sign our certificates. The procedure varies from device to device but the steps are more or less as follows:
1.
Download the terena.cer-file. Download certificate.
2.
Transfer the file to your device. You must now install it, ususally this happens when you open the file. You may recieve a warning and must accept that you trust the certificate.
3.
The certificate is now installed on your device and you can use it in your applications.
