Smart District Energy

Are you interested in reduction of energy use, reduction of carbon emissions and smart use of heat and power? If yes, you should apply for Summer School Smart District Energy.

In close cooperation with representatives from the District Energy industry in Denmark, Aarhus University School of Engineering offers a summer school with focus on smart district heating technology from 5 - 17 August 2012 in Denmark.

The purpose of the summer school is to enable you to apply your engineering competences to district energy issues and gain an insight into (1)the technology and the main components, (2)different kinds of heat production, (3)smart production and consumption and (4)the great environmental advantage of using district energy.

The summer school combines lectures, company visits and exercises and finishes with a case study. A considerable part of the course will be carried out in cooperation with the industry, heat supply companies, consulting engineers and the District Energy Development Centeer. Several lessons will be conducted by the companies at their localities.

The summer school welcomes engineering students who will finish their education within the next year. It is also possible for PhD students and young engineers with experience in the sector to participate.
