Summer Schools

Every year in July-August, the Engineering College of Aarhus organizes international summer schools in close collaboration with industrial companies and other institutions. The summer schools are all a mixture of theory and problem based teamwork and the students work with real cases from the collaborating companies. The summer schools are very popular and there are a lot of applicants which is why only the best students in the field get the opportunity to participate.

The main goal of the summer schools is that the students:
  • are challenged to use and develop their engineering qualifications within an industrial profession-oriented theme
  • are experiencing the activities in an international environment of close interaction between the industry and the Engineering College of Aarhus
  • learn to work in teams and have their own skills put into play when solving a complex practical task
  • are able to solve tasks through creative and innovative approaches and
  • obtain a professional network with other future engineers both nationally and internationally.

The summer schools are supported financially by the industry, the European Union, and the Engineering College of Aarhus. Representatives from the participating companies actively contribute in both the planning and the delivery of the summer schools. The Engineering College of Aarhus has the overall professional responsibility for the academic contents of the summer schools, so the courses are ECTS rewarding.
