VPN connection

To be able to work on IHA's shared network drives, you need to establish a VPN connection.

Automatic installation:

Click here to install the VPN-connection. The installation will pop up, asking you to download a file. Run/Download and open this file to continue and finish the installation.

When you have established the VPN connection, you will be able to see drives and folders, like if you were sitting at IHA, connected directly on the network.

To access your drives, go to step 4 in the overview or by clicking on box 4 in the figure above.

Alternative installation method

If you for some reason cannot install the VPN-connection using the automatic installation method, then you have the option of installing the VPN-connection manually by following the installation guide below:

» Make a VPN connection in Windows 7

What is VPN?

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, and is a private network established over a public network like i.e. the internet. VPN isn't per definition encrypted, but usually it is. At IHA it is encrypted to protect usernames and passwords.
