Wireless networks on IHA

 

 

There are a number of different SSIDs available on IHA. The following is a short description

 

IHA-HIGHSPEED

Used to connect laptops for IHA users. Only clients with a network card supporting the na (n on 5GHz) standard can connect to this network. Theoretical speed of 300 Mbit.

 

IHA-OPENNET

Used to connect laptops for IHA users. Only clients with a network card supporting the g (2,4GHz) standard can connect to this network. Theoretical speed of 54 Mbit, users should use IHA-HIGHSPEED if their network card supports it.

 

IHA-GUESTNET

Used to connect guest computers to the network. Username and password are available at the reception.

 

IHA-CONFIG

Used to connect computers for the first time to download guides and configuration. No username or password is required but there is only access to the support pages.

 

Encryption

All encrypted SSIDs use WPA2 with AES encryption. All modern network cards support this but older phones and other low end devices may be unable to connect.
