As a user with access to the network at IHA, you have the opportunity to create your own personal homepage. It is possible to use PHP-scripting or ordinary HTML on the pages. Below is a description of how to get started. If you need help to create the actual homepage, search the internet for guidelines.
| • |
Log on the network with your own username and password. On your H-drive create a folder called "public_html".
|
| • |
Place the files to be used in your homepage in the folder "h:\public_html". It's important that the startpage are named: 'index.htm'. This file is the first file that will be shown, when a user visits your homepage.
|

| • |
To make sure the webserver can read the files, every single user should assign the user 'HTML-Reader' permissions to the 'public_html' folder (Read & Execute, List Folder Contents & Read). By assigning these permissions you accept that all contect in the 'public_html' folder are available to the public. To do this, click on the folder and choose 'Properties'. Click on the tab 'Security' and add the user 'HTML-reader', which by default will get the permissions mentioned above. It can take up to an hour from you assign the permissions till the homepage can be viewed.

Note!
The last caracters should be YOUR initials/student number, and the '~' (tilde) character is important to include!
