Your personal file archive

H-drive

Your personal drive is the H-drive, where only you have read- and write permission. You should save your own documents and files here. Your settings and desktop are saved on this location when you log off a machine.

The size limit on the H-drive is 2 GB. If you get near the limit it might not be possible to save your settings when you log off. It is recommendable to keep an eye on the limit, otherwise you might be forced to minimize your size limit at an inconvenient time.

Trick: keep the data consumption down by burning old projects on CD's instead of saving these documents on the H-drive.

Furthermore, it is possible to get previous versions of a document.

Here's how to: » Get previous version of a document

The H-drive will exist until the student graduates or the employee leaves IHA.

It is therefore important to make a copy of data and projects you wish to save - BEFORE your graduation or termination of employment.
